As a Licensed Mental Health Counselor and ADHD-Certified Clinical Services Provider, I believe mental health is an essential part of overall wellbeing. Reaching out for help can feel intimidating, especially if you’ve always been the one others rely on for strength or have learned to “stay strong” while using coping strategies that no longer serve you. I commend you for taking the first step.

Denise Chandler, APRN, FNP-C, PMHNP Family Nurse Practitioner • Psychiatric Mental Health Practitioner • Women’s Health Specialist
Hello, my name is Denise Chandler. I have been an Advanced Practice Registered Nurse since 2011 and bring more than 23 years of nursing experience. I hold Master’s degrees in Nursing Healthcare Education and Family Practice and am certified in both Family Practice and Psychiatric Mental Health.
For over a decade, I worked exclusively in Women’s Health Care, where I developed a deep understanding of how hormonal changes affect physical, emotional, and mental well-being. Today, I provide care for men, women, and youth ages 14 and older who may be experiencing hormone-related changes, mood disorders, or life transitions.
Common concerns I treat include menopause, perimenopause, PMDD, puberty, and menstrual irregularities such as dysmenorrhea, menorrhagia, dysfunctional uterine bleeding, and anemia. I also address sexual health concerns like painful sex, orgasmic dysfunction, and low libido, as well as ADHD, depression, anxiety, PTSD, panic, insomnia, stress, fatigue, and weight management challenges.
My approach emphasizes whole-person care. I order lab work when needed, use genetic testing to guide safer medication choices, and educate on vitamins and supplements that may support healing. I frequently collaborate with therapists and counselors to enhance outcomes.
With clinical experience in neurology, cardiology, mental health, emergency medicine, gynecology, and obstetrics, and years as an educator, I make complex health concepts simple and actionable. Whether in person or virtually, I create a safe, open environment where clients feel heard, supported, and empowered to restore balance and improve quality of life.
I am licensed as a mental health counselor, and for the past 11 years I have specialized in therapy with children, adolescents, families, and couples, in addition to providing qualified supervision of registered mental health counseling interns. More recently, I served as the clinical director of an infant mental health program in Sarasota, Florida. I received my Master's of Arts in Clinical Counseling from Columbia International University, and have provided therapy for families and couples in their homes, outpatient office settings, and in my private practice.
My approach to therapy for children and parents, and couples is attachment focused. My practice is based on the belief that we all need healthy attachments to significant people in our lives, and when we are hurting, it is then that we need others most. This is why I have found this therapeutic approach to be so effective. Relationships are at the core of our humanity.
I am a licensed clinical social worker. I have worked in mental health for 10 years including substance abuse facility and private practice. I want to work with you to empower yo to navigate your emotional landscape and develop coping strategies that foster resilience and personal growth.
Athlete mental health means supporting the whole person, not just the competitor. My experience as a licensed clinical social worker and former professional athlete led me to founded Inspire U to support the person behind the performance. As the first social worker hired full-time by an NFL club to support former players through transition, I have built a unique career helping athletes, professionals, and high-performing individuals navigate the mental and emotional demands of stress, success, identity, and life transitions.
