With over 45 years experience, clients consider me to be caring, direct, and engaging. Many things including stress both effect and are connected to your mental and physical health. Self care is very important and that will be a focus. People have some degree of trauma whether large or small which is a primary area of practice and experience for me. I utilize many tools including mindfulness, Brainspotting , Art and EMDR. I consider myself to be both empathetic, inquisitive and Intuitive. I currently only work with adults.
I became a therapist because I've seen personally how much mental health and neurological differences can affect a person, a relationship, and a family. That experience is a big part of why I do this work.
I have a Master's in Family Therapy and have worked in crisis settings, community mental health, and private practice. I work with adults and couples dealing with anxiety, mood disorders, psychosis, ADHD, autism, relationship issues, burnout, and the realities of raising neurodivergent kids. I am LGBTQI+ and neurodivergent affirming. I'm a pretty straightforward therapist. If I notice a pattern, I'll probably point it out.
I earned a Master's Degree in Human Relations and a Bachelor's’ degree in Psychology with a minor in Sociology-Criminology, both from the University of Oklahoma. In addition, I have over 10 years of experience working with adults struggling with life transitions, trauma, addiction, self-esteem, anxiety, and depression.
I'm Reginald Ibe, a board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP-BC). I provide telehealth psychiatric care to adults across Texas, Washington, New Mexico, and Nevada — diagnostic evaluation, medication management, and supportive therapy for depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder, ADHD, PTSD, and insomnia.
My approach is collaborative and deliberate. I start low and titrate carefully, because the goal isn't just a lower symptom score — it's a life that feels workable to you. I'd rather have you on two medications that genuinely help than five that each do a little. I'll explain what I'm recommending and why, tell you what side effects to watch for, and expect you to push back if something isn't working. When therapy rather than another prescription is the right next step, I'll say so.
I have experience working as an advocate with survivors of SA and DV. I have worked within the battering program with DV offenders both male and female. I have some experience with CBT, ACT, TF-CBT and Parts work.
