I believe that every person deserves to feel heard, respected, and supported. Reaching out for mental health care can feel overwhelming, and my goal is to make that first step as comfortable as possible. I work with adolescents and adults experiencing anxiety, depression, ADHD, bipolar disorder, trauma, PTSD, and other mood and stress-related concerns. I understand that every person's experiences are unique, so I take the time to truly listen before creating a treatment plan. My priority is to build a trusting relationship where you feel safe discussing your concerns and confident that we're working toward your goals together.
I have a heart for helping my clients manage the complexities of 21st century stress, heal from trauma, and navigate life transitions and relationship struggles. I strive to nurture healing and growth in a supportive, compassionate, and non-judgmental space. My approach is rooted in creating a safe, welcoming environment where my clients can utilize their strengths to explore their struggles and identify core issues that need resolution and healing.

If you or your teen are carrying something heavy — trauma that keeps showing up, anxiety that won't settle, or a life that's shifted in ways that are hard to name — I'm here to help. I'm a bilingual, Spanish-speaking LPC in Texas with 3 years of clinical experience. I'm trained in EMDR therapy and specialize in trauma, emotional regulation, and life transitions. I work with adolescents ages 11–17 and adults, and I believe therapy is a space to work toward your most authentic self. I believe healing is possible when people are given a safe space to be seen, heard, and understood. Over time, I realized that many of the struggles people experience are often rooted in experiences that were never fully processed.
I specialize in assessing and treating depression, anxiety, trauma, child welfare, adoption, family of origin complications, relationship concerns, attachment issues, and parenting concerns. I enjoy counseling individuals across the lifespan. I am trained in EMDR for treatment of trauma and PTSD. I am also working on a Yoga Teacher certification as well.
I believe one of the most important parts of therapy is having a space where you feel comfortable being yourself. My goal is to create an environment where you feel heard, respected, and supported without judgment. I bring experience in both mental health and education, which has allowed me to work with children, adolescents, adults, parents, and families from many different backgrounds and life experiences.
I especially enjoy helping clients navigate anxiety, stress, emotional regulation, family and relationship challenges, school-related concerns, difficult life experiences, and major transitions. I understand that reaching out for therapy can feel uncomfortable, especially if you are used to being the person who handles everything on your own. You do not have to have everything figured out before coming to therapy. We can start exactly where you are.
I earned my Doctorate in Counselor Education from Sam Houston State University in 2015, following a Master’s Degree in Counseling from the University of Houston in 2003. My clinical specialty is working with young adults, adolescents, and families, with over five years of direct clinical experience.
In addition to my clinical work, I bring more than a decade of experience as a counselor educator at the university level. I also have over 20 years of experience in public education, including 13 years as a certified secondary school counselor. This diverse background allows me to support clients with a deep understanding of both academic and developmental challenges across the lifespan.
