College and early adulthood can feel exciting and overwhelming at the same time. I work with college students and young adults who are navigating academic pressure, shifting friendships, family expectations, dating, and big life decisions. You might look like you’re managing it all, but inside you feel anxious, unsure of yourself, or constantly comparing where you are to everyone else. Whether you’re struggling with burnout, identity questions, or just trying to figure out your next step, therapy can be a place to slow down and actually breathe.
Hi! My name is Jessica. I am a Clinical Social Worker with a Masters degree from U of I (I.L.L.). My clinical experience began in 2004 as a therapist for a foster care program. The bulk of my experience is with children 3-17 who were in crisis; dealt with depression, anxiety and self esteem issues. I also have experience working with adults in the same capacity as well as dealing with relationships and aging. My personal goal is to always help people feel better.
I am not seeing couples at this time. I work best with women. Are you ready to say no without guilt? I use the feminist theory of counseling to examine the effects of power structures in your life. I use guided meditation to reprogram subconscious beliefs like, "I'm not good enough," and, "No one loves me." I’m neurodivergent affirming and have worked with many high achievers. I study adult attachment styles and how to become secure. I have been a counselor for 14 years. I enjoy meditating and walking in nature. I study psychology, spirituality, quantum physics, business, and nutrition.
Feeling like you’re carrying the weight of it all? As women and mothers, we often juggle endless to-do lists, emotional labor, and the invisible “mental load” that keeps everything running yet leaves little room for ourselves. You might be feeling exhausted, overwhelmed, or guilty for not doing “enough,” even when you’re giving your all. I work with women who are ready to release the constant pressure to manage it all and reconnect with themselves again. Together, we’ll explore what balance, peace, and fulfillment actually look like for you. My goal is to help you feel grounded, capable, and more like yourself again.
You’re capable and use to managing a lot, but lately life feels overwhelming.
I’m Ashley Walay, LICSW, and I work with BIPOC women and LGBTQ+ individuals, professionals, single parents, and military-connected individuals (including spouses, veterans, contractors, and civilian employees) experiencing anxiety, depression, trauma, burnout, chronic stress, and life transitions.
I value clear, direct communication and tailor therapy to your needs, whether you want tools or space to process. Together, we’ll work toward greater clarity, balance, and confidence.
