If you’re feeling overwhelmed, stuck, or unsure how to move forward, you’re not alone and you don’t have to navigate it on your own. Life’s challenges can sometimes leave us feeling drained, anxious, or disconnected from ourselves and others. Therapy can be a space to slow down, reflect, and begin creating meaningful change. I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) with experience in hospitals, residential programs, community mental health, and private practice. I work with individuals navigating stress, anxiety, depression, life transitions, and concerns related to disordered eating, body image, or weight management.
I am a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor who believes therapy should feel real, human, and grounded in honest conversation. With experience in community mental health, treatment courts, group work, and clinical supervision, in addition to working with individuals navigating trauma, identity, and personal change. I also teach and mentor future counselors while researching the psychological experiences of individuals living with vitiligo. I bring a little bit of humor into therapy, because let’s face it, in this day and age a little bit of laughing takes stress off our already hectic lives; though when it is time to get serious, we will address all and any issues that may be hindering your pathways of life. My philosophy: “people are more than their labels, and growth begins when people feel seen, heard, and respected.”

Taking the first step toward therapy can feel overwhelming, and I’m glad you’re here. As a licensed clinical social worker, my goal is to provide a warm, supportive, and nonjudgmental space where you feel comfortable sharing your thoughts, emotions, and experiences at your own pace. I believe meaningful change begins when you feel truly heard, understood, and supported.
I work with adults experiencing anxiety, depression, eating disorders, life transitions, trauma, OCD, and other emotional challenges. Every person’s journey is unique, so I tailor therapy to your individual needs, strengths, and goals rather than taking a one-size-fits-all approach.
My clinical experience spans a variety of settings, where I’ve had the privilege of helping individuals from diverse backgrounds navigate life’s challenges. I use evidence-based approaches to help you gain insight, develop healthy coping skills, and create meaningful, lasting change.
Whether you’re feeling overwhelmed, stuck, or simply ready to invest in yourself, I’m here to support you every step of the way. Together, we’ll work toward helping you feel more confident, balanced, and empowered in your everyday life
Hello! I'm Amanda Mullen, a Licensed Therapist, and Certified Clinical Trauma Professional (CCTP-I), licensed in South Carolina and Illinois.
As a veteran and former military spouse, I'm especially passionate about supporting veterans, active-duty service members, first responders, and their families. While every person's experience is unique, I understand many of the challenges these communities face through both professional training and lived experience.
One philosophy that guides my work is simple: I don't preach—I teach. My role isn't to tell you how to live your life but to help you better understand yourself, build practical coping skills, and gain the confidence to navigate life's challenges long after therapy ends. I genuinely believe in the techniques I use because I've seen their ability to create lasting change.
I also believe healing extends beyond the therapy office. Spending time in nature, slowing down, and reconnecting with yourself can be powerful tools for growth and resilience, and I often encourage clients to incorporate these practices into their daily lives.
My greatest strength as a therapist is creating a space where you can show up exactly as you are. Whether you're healing from trauma, managing anxiety or depression, coping with work stress, navigating life transitions, or simply feeling overwhelmed by everyday life—even potty training a new puppy—you'll find a compassionate, supportive, and judgment-free environment. My goal is to help you feel heard, understood, and empowered as we work together toward meaningful, lasting change.
I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with a background working with children, families and people impacted by childhood, relational and systemic trauma. I believe the work that I get to do as a therapist is a calling from God (a path that I initially resisted, lol). I hope to offer you a safe holding space to unpack (in no particular order) the heavy and hard things that burden you; to help you manage the tension between the good and hard life that you have been given.
