I’m glad you’re here.
For nearly 30 years as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, I’ve had the privilege of helping folks through some of life’s messier chapters—relationship troubles, trauma, addiction, anxiety, depression, and those seasons where you look around and think, “How in the world did I get here?”
If you're looking for someone who will be in your corner, listen without judgment, and still call you on your stuff when you need it—I'm your person.
Life can be messy. You don't have to have everything figured out before you reach out. Sometimes you just need another voice, a different perspective, and someone willing to sit with you while you figure out where you want to go.
My approach is individualized, practical, and down-to-earth. I draw from approaches such as CBT, DBT, EFT, IFS, and others, choosing what fits you rather than trying to fit you into one particular treatment model. I believe therapy should have purpose, but it doesn't have to feel stiff or clinical. I use humor when appropriate, keep things conversational, and believe there is room for both hard work and a good laugh.
I'm empathetic and supportive, but I'm also a realist. I won't simply tell you what you want to hear. Sometimes being your ally means gently challenging the thoughts, behaviors, or patterns that are keeping you stuck. My goal isn't to judge you—it's to help you understand yourself, make meaningful changes, and move toward the life and relationships you want.
I call myself an optimistic realist. I don't have all the answers, and I won't pretend that life's storms can always be avoided. But I believe you can learn how to navigate them differently.
Every day is another opportunity to begin again. Let's figure out where you want to go—and then work together to help you get there.
I provide counseling therapy to individuals with an Open Bible, offering therapeutic insight from a Christian perspective. I am a trained, licensed therapist who understands God's role in healing and integrates Biblical principles into therapeutic conversations to guide you toward better mental health. GOD is Good! My goal is to help you see this through Scripture, which provides guidance and navigation through the toughest times in life. Your emotional pain is more than a physical or mental struggle – it’s a spiritual response to suffering. I’ll walk beside you as we examine what is true, worthy, honest, and right.

Hi! My name is Helen Roberts, and I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor in Florida, Wisconsin, Michigan, and Iowa. I’ve been counseling children, teens, adults, couples, and families for over 20 years - but in my experience, that’s not really what you want to know. What you really want to know is, can I help you? And is there hope for things to change for you? As a matter of fact, there is, and I hope you’ll give me an opportunity to take that journey towards healing and empowerment with you. We can change the direction of your life right now and give you hope and power again!
