I believe that everyone has an innate capacity to guide their own lives. Sometimes, we forget this superpower! I'm here to help you remember your own light and empower you to shine. I was an educator for over twenty years, and I have worked with diverse populations in many capacities. I will help you see your strengths and possibilities.
I am a clinical child psychologist at Adaptive Health Psychology PLLC. I work with children, adolescents, and young adults coping with stress management, anxiety, depression, chronic pain, trauma, and others. I specialize in helping young people with chronic medical conditions. My practice focuses on supporting children, adolescents, and young adults as they cope with the emotions, challenges, and day-to-day realities. I work closely with each young client and their family to build practical coping strategies, strengthen resilience, and improve overall quality of life.
My approach to therapy is rooted in meeting you where you are. I believe healing begins in a space where you feel safe, understood, and accepted without judgment. Together, we'll move at a pace that feels comfortable for you, creating room to explore your experiences with curiosity and compassion.
I have a passion for helping clients understand how their past experiences have shaped the way they think, feel, and respond today. As we begin to recognize these patterns, they often become less overwhelming. Rather than judging the ways you've learned to cope, we'll work toward understanding them with compassion while exploring new ways to meet your needs and navigate life's challenges.
I view therapy as a collaborative process. My role isn't to tell you who you should be, but to help you reconnect with the strengths you already have while developing new tools to support your growth. Whether you're working through anxiety, trauma, grief, or a major life transition, my goal is to help you build a deeper connection with yourself, cultivate greater self-compassion, and develop a stronger sense of your own worth. I believe meaningful change happens when we feel seen, understood, and empowered to move forward in a way that feels authentic to who we are.
Life can feel like a constant balancing act between who you used to be, who you want to be, and everything that’s expected of you. Whether you’re a new mom adjusting to this next chapter or a young adult trying to figure out your next step, you deserve space to pause, reflect, and heal. In therapy, we focus on helping you find your calm again. Together, we’ll explore what’s been weighing you down, build new coping tools, and rediscover a sense of confidence and clarity. Many of my clients come to therapy feeling exhausted from carrying everything alone. Here, you don’t have to. This is your space to rest, reset, and begin again.
What led me to become a therapist...
When I was a child, my mother taught me a poem called “Children Learn What They Live.” It had a big influence on me – so much so that I knew at age 15 that I wanted to work with kids.
When I was a junior in college, the unimaginable happened, as I lost my teenaged brother. That tragedy affected me profoundly, igniting a passion for turning life’s lemons into lemonade.
I had a mission: to help people who are suffering but don’t know how to change it.
I believe that healing begins with feeling truly seen, heard, and understood. My approach is warm, collaborative, and grounded in curiosity rather than judgment. Whether you're navigating anxiety, grief, life transitions, relationship struggles, or simply feeling stuck, I offer a space where you can explore what’s happening with honesty and compassion.
I draw from evidence-based modalities like Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), mindfulness, and psychodynamic insights, while always tailoring my approach to your unique needs and goals. Together, we’ll work to uncover patterns, build insight, and develop practical strategies that help you move toward clarity and meaningful change.
Clients often describe me as calm, supportive, and direct in a kind way. I value humor when it’s helpful, and I work to foster a relationship where you feel safe enough to be real—even when it’s hard.
Reaching out takes courage, and finding the right fit is key. If you're looking for someone who will listen deeply, challenge gently, and walk alongside you at your pace, I’d be honored to work with you.
It's time to put yourself first, and I'm here to help you do that. With my experience working with adults from a diverse population, I understand how difficult it is to prioritize yourself in life which can lead to depression, anxiety, emotional distress, and unnecessary stress.
