I know how heavy life can feel when you’re carrying pain, uncertainty, or self-doubt. But I believe, as a wise old wizard once said, “Happiness can be found even in the darkest of places, if one only remembers to turn on the light.” My role is to help you find that light again. I work with Gen Z and Millennial adults facing anxiety, depression, trauma, bipolar disorder, ADHD, and more. Through integrative, culturally responsive care, I combine evidence-based psychiatry with holistic strategies to help you feel heard, supported, and empowered to create a life that aligns with your true self.
I’m a Licensed Clinical Social Worker providing teletherapy for teens and adults in Oregon and California. While I’ve supported a wide range of mental health concerns in my practice, I currently focus on chronic stress, anxiety, and burnout. I work with people who tend to have more sensitive nervous systems — often shaped by early childhood experiences, chronic relational stress, high emotional attunement, or years of self-override. It takes courage and effort to start therapy, so I’m glad you’re here.
I specialize in helping people feel better, function better, and live more fulfilling lives. If you and/or your family are in transition, whether it be an individual issue, a couples issue, your kids exhibiting stess, managing and adjusting with aging family members, divorce/separation, a simple communication breakdown, changing the effects of multigenerational trauma...call me. I have been working with all this and the symptoms of all this like depression, anxiety, relationship distress, substance misuse, anger, for many years. My work rangesb from short term adjustments, to longer term in depth psychotherapy.
I believe that healing happens within the context of a safe, supportive relationship. My goal is to create a space where you feel heard, respected, and empowered to explore your experiences without fear of judgment. I understand that beginning therapy can feel vulnerable, and I consider it a privilege to walk alongside clients as they pursue healing and personal growth.
I am a licensed therapist in both Florida and California with over seven years of experience working with adults. I am EMDR trained and use an attachment-based, trauma-informed approach that integrates evidence-based practices, including EMDR, parts work, somatic techniques, and psychoeducation. My work focuses on helping individuals heal from trauma, attachment wounds, anxiety, and grief and loss while developing healthier relationships, greater emotional resilience, and lasting change.
As a Christian counselor, I also enjoy integrating faith into the therapeutic process for clients who desire it, while honoring each person's unique values and beliefs. I primarily work with adults who are navigating the effects of trauma, difficult life experiences, anxiety, grief, and relational challenges. Whether you are feeling overwhelmed, emotionally exhausted, or stuck in patterns that no longer serve you, I am committed to providing compassionate, collaborative care that supports your journey toward healing and hope.
I entered into this field to help individuals to learn, grow and heal at their own pace. I fundamentally believe that we are the experts of ourselves and our experiences. My role through my education, learning and experience is to support clients’ in unlocking their awareness of patterns to increase the clients’ ability to access the tools within them to facilitate their learning, growth and healing through a collaborative process.
As a Black/African American woman, I am passionate about working with people of color (especially people of color who identify as LGBTIA+) in destigmatizing mental health in our communities and identifying how systemic racism/systemic oppression affect our mental health.
My strengths as a therapist are rooted in fifteen years of experience working in the field as a mental health clinician in a variety of settings. I have supported individual’s ability to access their inherent tools to overcome struggles connected to trauma, grief & loss, depression and general anxiety. Over the course of my experience I have developed skills in providing therapy to underrepresented, underserviced families, children, individuals, and couples. I also have a wealth of experience supporting youth involved in the juvenile justice system, oppositional teens, and members of the LGBTQIA+ community.
